Solution for the battery issue of the Beaulieu 4008 camera series
Anyone who owns a Beaulieu 4008 knows the problem: the original batteries are hardly available anymore, and alternatives are often expensive or complicated. In this post, we present the various solutions – from DIY projects to our specially developed battery adapter.
Aftermarket and DIY solutions
There are some aftermarket batteries that are very similar to the original battery. However, these come at a high price. Alternatively, there are DIY kits where you have to source the right batteries yourself and solder everything together.

Our solution: a simple battery adapter
Since we have dealt intensively with the problem, we have developed our own solution: a battery adapter that fits perfectly into all Beaulieu 4008 cameras. It uses standard 1.2V NiMh rechargeable batteries and is easy to handle.
The installation is simple:

Insert batteries into the adapter.

Place the adapter into the camera and gently move it back and forth until it fits firmly.

Screw on the cover – done!

Buona sera, ho acquistato da poco attraverso ebay il box batterie per la mia Beaulieu 4008 ZX4 e sono molto soddisfatto di avermela portata di nuovo a utilizzare il Super 8mm, poiché possiedo ancora anche altre macchine Beaulieu 5008 MS, 2008S e una Pathe’ BTL Electronic DS 8, e avrei di bisogno di adattatori capaci di alimentare adeguatamente queste stupende cineprese, sono sicuro che riuscirete a trovare la soluzione giusta per farli funzionare, di nuovo complimenti per l’impegno e la passione che ci mettete.
