Film cassette (Refill) 8x11 for Minox A, B, C & EC

• Original Minox film no longer available? No problem. With this cassette, you can use any 35mm or 120 film – even cut down to 9.2 mm. Portra 400, HP5+, Tri-X, Delta 100 – whatever you want.
• 10 times cheaper than NOS film. One roll of 35mm film yields up to 4 cassette loads. Instead of paying €30–50 for an old original cassette, you only pay the film price.
• No scratches, proper film transport. Independently tested: The developed film shows clean negatives with even frame spacing – no scratches or transport issues.
• Storage case included. Your exposed film is immediately protected from light.

Note on changing film

As with all Minox cassettes (including originals), the following applies:

• Always change film in dim light – never in direct sunlight. Minox also recommends this in the original manual.
• Place the cassette immediately after removal into the included storage case.
• For highly sensitive films (ISO 800+), e.g. Delta 3200 or P3200, extra care is needed – these films are more sensitive to stray light.
• Plan 2 blank exposures at the end of the film as a safety buffer.

Description

This 4-piece cassette brings your Minox back into action – without relying on expensive and increasingly rare New-Old-Stock film. You can cut any 35mm or 120 film down to 9.2 mm width with a suitable film slitter and spool it yourself.

The cassette is precisely designed for 36 exposures. Important: Do not try to load longer films (e.g. 50 exposures) – the mechanical tolerances of Minox cameras are not designed for that.

Compatibility

• VEF Riga – Not recommended. Cassette can be inserted with pressure, but removal is problematic – attached lids may remain inside the camera. Depends on the individual camera condition.

Field test: Results from the community

An experienced Minox photographer tested this cassette in a Minox A with ISO 200 film and had the results developed in a professional lab. Three points were checked:

• Light tightness: No problems in dim light (as recommended by Minox). Under intentional extreme exposure (EV 15, direct midday sun), minimal light leakage appears at the film end – not relevant with proper handling.
• Film transport: Even negative spacing, no increased resistance.
• Scratches: No scratches on the developed film.

Note: Results may vary depending on camera condition, film type, and handling. We recommend always changing film in dim light.
