Light Seal Kit Universal + Mirror Damper for 35mm SLR Cameras

• Is the black foam crumbling inside your camera? Old seals break down after 20-40 years. The sticky residue dirties the mirror and shutter.
• Not sure if a universal set fits your camera? All 35mm SLR cameras use the same sealing principle: narrow grooves along the back cover where foam strips are inserted. Groove widths vary only slightly between manufacturers (1-3 mm). This set includes strips in all common widths.

Model-specific laser cuts sound precise but have drawbacks in practice: The 1 mm thin strips for the back cover edge tear when inserted into the narrow groove. If a mistake happens, the entire kit is wasted. Universal strips are more durable, can flexibly wrap around any curve of the back cover, and provide enough material for 2-3 cameras — instead of just one.

Almost every analog camera from the 60s to 80s suffers from degraded light seals. The old foam becomes sticky, crumbles, and lets light onto the film. This set contains everything you need for a DIY replacement — including tools and illustrated instructions. A bit of isopropanol (not included) also helps remove old adhesive residue.
