- Light meter inaccurate? Conventional 1.5V alkaline batteries often distort the readings of old cameras designed for 1.35V.
- Constantly buying batteries? Zinc-air batteries (WeinCells) are costly and dry out quickly, even when the camera is stored in a cupboard.
- The solution: A rechargeable system based on the Varta V80H cell for a more stable voltage and sustainable operation.

Description
Many classic analogue cameras were originally designed for the now banned 1.35V mercury battery (PX625). Since modern 1.5V batteries deliver too high a voltage, this often leads to incorrect exposures. We developed this charger to make the Varta V80H button cell usable. It provides a voltage much closer to the original, thus enabling more accurate readings.
The charger is made of technical plastic (PLA+) and compact enough for any camera bag. It gently charges the cell via USB-C. Note: Please charge the V80H battery only in this designated charger.
Compatibility
Suitable for cameras that originally required PX625, PX13, or MR-9 batteries, including:
- Rollei 35, 35S, 35T
- Leica CL, M5
- Canon F-1 (old), FTb, FT
- Minolta SRT series (101, 303 etc.)
- Olympus OM-1, OM-1n
- Nikon F (Photomic prisms)

Spart Batterienkauf. Super gemacht!

And the size is small, very handy to bring together with my Rollei 35S.
I like the idea of a battery charger 3D-printed is pretty cool. But i am wondering how the batteries will last. Varta V80H are only 80mAh compared to the 130mAh or more with SR43W and an adapater.
The product is also super expensive for what it is: as much as the adapter with sr43w batteries, but works with varta nimh with less capacity…
I took it becaue i am interested in the idea of recharging the batteries but i fear i will have to seap them each time I change the roll to avoid loosing metering (battery is hardly accessible once a roll is in place in my case).
Finally a viable, elegant and reliable solution for the (in)famous PX625 batteries: Varta V80H Accu+dedicated USB Charger.
It certainly solved once for all my problems and worries encountered whenever I wanted to go out shooting my Rollei 35 or Voigtlander VF 135, using their built-in light meters.
Obviously immediately after buying this combo I installed the Accu, which measured exactly 1,23V, in my Voigtlander camera and compared the value displayed by the camera’s light meter with the value shown by my trusty Sekonic; results were spot on.
What more can one wish for?
